ABOUT MY PATH
Mariela was born in Havana, Cuba a few years back. She moved to the United States in 1984 making Miami, Florida her home until 2016 when her path took her to Spring Hill, Florida. For over twenty years, Mariela worked as a Human Resources Professional in the international banking and architectural/engineering industries. For many years, together with her professional career, she decided to pursue a path better aligned with her spiritual goals of bringing healing and inner peace to others. In 2005 she graduated as a licensed esthetician and skin care specialist from Florida College of Natural Health and she is currently licensed in the state of Florida.
Mariela continued her studies in India, where she decided to specialize in Ayurvedic therapies. While in India she devoted herself to the Ashram life with a complete yogic lifestyle. She resided mainly in Yoga Vydia Gurukul which is located in Nasik, Maharashtra, India. She was certified as a Yoga Pravesh and Yoga Sanjeevan teacher, following the teachings of Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga. She underwent intensive trainings in the Ashram in Nasik and also Raso Vai Ayurveda in Goa, India, to include the science of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Body Types, Ayur Yogic Massage, Abhyanga Massage, Marma Massage and Shirodhara. She completed the Osho Reiki First Degree offered by the Osho Multiversity in the Osho Commune Ashram in Pune, India. "Discovering" meditation as part of her daily living on this extended Far East adventure, Mariela researched many types of meditations from different cultures leading to her unique eclectic practice of her own. Mariela has practiced and developed hands-on healing techniques that involve the use of crystals, aromatherapy and Reiki.
In 2014, continuing her studies she did an intensive Traditional Chinese Medicine certification in Beijing, China. She was certified as a practitioner in the healing arts of Traditional Chinese modalities.
Since then, Mariela has been working using these different modalities; depending on the needs of her clients. She is committed to helping others find greater health and inner peace through this gentle soulful and holistic approach.
